Daniel Brühwiler

Chief Investment Officer
Daniel has 34 years experience in the financial sector. He was previously CEO and Head of Private Banking for a Private Bank. Before that he was responsible for Wealth Management at Bank Vontobel for 7 years and Head of Investment Management at Credit Suisse Private Banking for 8 years. At Credit Suisse he was in the Investment Committee of 4 people, including the CEO, Oswald Grübel, managing the discretionary management mandates totaling assets of CHF 34 Billion. At Dresdner Bank (CH) he started as a financial analyst and became CIO after a few years. Daniel has a BBA of Newport University and is a Business Economist.



Herbert Fugel

Board Member of Helvetia Wealth AG
Herbert Fugel joined Helvetia as a board member in August 2010 after more than 20 years in Investment Banking primarily in the area of asset securitisation and real estate finance. At Moody’s Investors Service his focus was the risk evaluation of asset backed and other structured capital market issuances, at Deutsche Bank and at WestLB his focus was on arranging, structuring, and executing asset backed transactions covering a wide range of asset classes such as trade and lease receivables as well as forestry and seismic data. At Wachovia, he led the bank’s German lending activities in commercial real estate.   

Reporting to the CEO, Herbert Fugel’s main responsibilities include the determination and control of the Helvetia’s financial position, the implementation and monitoring of all measures in regards to controlling and regulatory compliance and, oversight of all accounting and reporting activities as well as requirements.



Guy van der Walt

Guy van der Walt (b. 1973) sits on the management board of Helvetia Wealth, Zurich. Born and educated in South Africa, he graduated from SACS with a Higher Grade Matriculation and completed a diploma in Shipping, Marine Law and Administration from Cape Technikon. He worked as a trainee commodity trader for Western Commodities in Cape Town until 1995, dealing in oil, wax, coal, metals and minerals and in that time co-founded a new business supplying industrial coal to the domestic fishing and wine markets. The business was sold and today trades on the Alt X market in Johannesburg. His entrepreneurial background leads him naturally into investment and private banking, combined with his success in the early stages of his career.

He played a silent role and assisted in the development of the business strategy for Helvetia Wealth before moving to Zurich full time in November 2005 to continue this role and develop the business. In the first five years since the company's founding, the volume of assets under management has risen to CHF 1.2 billion. In the same period, Helvetia Wealth has acquired six companies in five countries and has more acquisitions in the pipeline. Guy van der Walt's main duties now include M+A activity, business strategy, and head hunting. He describes himself as a determined individual with clear goals. He has a friendly but firm leadership style with a solution orientated approach to problem solving.



Peter Howe

Peter Howe (b. 1967) is Head of Trading with Helvetia Wealth, Zurich. He is a British national based in Zurich since 1997 with 20 years markets and trading expertise. A member of the Helvetia team since the very beginning, Peter Howe played a substantial role in setting up the company. Since taking up his duties, he has extended the large network of contacts and the strong client base he brought with him from previous stages in his career.

His role as Head of Trading obliges him to seek out best-in-class products in all asset categories from around Europe and beyond, and he has overall responsibility for portfolio management, asset allocation and trading. Peter Howe began his career in London, where he worked for a series of employers as a broker, senior broker and IDB manager. It was here that he laid the foundations for his extensive know-how and experience of the Japanese and Asian derivative market.

This grounding served him in good stead when he joined the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi in Zurich as Vice President and Head of Trading, whilst at Bank of Tokyo- Mitsubishi Peter successfully originated, marketed and placed over 50 new issues including 7 IPO's. He also managed a nostro book in excess of CHF 100 million and managed the market making of over 150 Japanese warrant and convertible issues.




Nigel J. Green

After a successful 10 years in Real Estate Nigel began to think about a switch to the world of finance and subsequently sold his real estate business in 2001.  Nigel embraced a new challenge to build a successful career as an equity broker. Leveraging his sales ability across multiple asset classes he developed an enthusiasm and aptitude for Private Banking and in 2006 Nigel moved to Zurich and joined Helvetia Wealth.

There is no typical day in a Wealth Management Boutique says Nigel. Our daily tasks are driven by market developments and client needs. The ever evolving, challenging, dynamic and truly international environment is what attracts me to my role.

Joining Helvetia Wealth has been a rewarding experience, the strategic dialogue with senior executives, the fast pace, the bright people and the wide range of industries has helped me develop an even broader set of personal and professional skills over a short period of time.

Nigel Green sits on the Helvetia Wealth Group Management Board and is Head of Sales and Marketing. His mandate entails liaison with all the divisions within the Group to drive integrated global sales and marketing strategy.

Diversely Educated Nigel holds degrees in Business Studies and The Electronics of the Music Industry. His varied passions include Caribbean History, Cuisine, Music and Football.
